Immunokracja is an interdisciplinary performance that draws parallels between autoimmune diseases and the challenges facing modern democracies – particularly amid Europe’s rising populism and social polarization. Just as the immune system can mistakenly attack the body it protects, misinformation, societal divisions and populism can lead citizens to view each other as adversaries rather than collaborators in reinforcing their shared future. This performance invites audiences to reflect on the resilience of democratic structures in the face of internal conflicts and their capacity for renewal.
